Some of you may know that last week one of my best friends said, “I do.” I was blessed to stand by her side on her special day. I also got to spend time with friends that I unfortunately don’t get to see very often since we all graduated this past spring.
One of the best things about having a blog is that it serves as a digital journal, documenting my favorite memories. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share a few highlights (via iPhone) from the bachelorette party and wedding.
We enjoyed dinner at the Melting Pot in Center City, Philadelphia. Our waitress surprised us with free champagne that had heart-shaped strawberries floating in the glass. How cute?!
The following day included lunch at a tea house with the bridesmaids and some of the bride’s family. I thought it was such a great idea to include family in the bachelorette party. And the tea house was adorable!
Friday was wedding day. We got “beautified” at Village Cuts Salon located in Langhorne, PA. If you live anywhere remotely close (suburbs of Philly, New Jersey, etc.), I highly recommend them. From hair to nails to makeup, the entire staff was so nice and made everyone in the wedding party feel so special. They are also willing to travel for events! Not that I’m getting married in the near future…but I’m already thinking Danielle needs to come do my makeup. She got me to try false eyelashes! This is big, my friends.
Pictured above is the bride’s hair. Wasn’t it gorgeous?! Her hair piece is from Charming Charlie’s!
The bride and her maids right before the ceremony started! #selfie
Another special part of the wedding was getting to see my boyfriend! Love this photo of us.
The girl to my left has been a friend since high school. We also both went to Pitt, where I met the other bridesmaids and brides. The bridal party (minus the sister/MOH) met freshman year at Pitt living on the same floor. I was also glad to see two other dear friends from school, who also lived on our floor. We’ve all been friends ever since!I’m so blessed to have such beautiful, amazing friends in my life. It’s hard to believe that we are at the age where we’re celebrating weddings and other major life milestones. These three ladies will be forever friends, and I can’t wait to watch where their lives take them.
Emily and Tom, congratulations! Your wedding was beautiful, and you make such a beautiful couple. Thank you for everything, including that amazing mashed potato bar. I love you both!
