Waiting for Spring

Street Level Reversible Tote

With spring officially in swing, I find myself wondering, where is the warm weather? While I’d like to be wearing flip flops in this post, my trusty Sam Edelman boots were needed this past Saturday with the colder weather. But trust me, this girl is anxiously waiting to break out the flip flops for good!

My coworker/friend/blogger pal and I headed to brunch downtown for some photos and delicious food. Oh, and a little bit of shopping. Oops. To see what I ate, check out my Instagram post. Are you hungry now? Yeah, I’m already thinking about the next time I’ll be eating those chicken and waffles.

I love the combination of earth tones in this outfit. The cognac, army green, and cream all work really well together. To make this look more appropriate for warmer temperatures, swap the boots for sandals or open toe wedges. Swap the sweater fora light tee.

A great purchase can transition from season to season. You’ve heard me say this before. These pants will work just as well for spring and summer as I mentioned above. And the styling possibilities mean the price per wear could be pennies. I wore this with a long sleeved top to work, but this would be so cute with a white tee and a denim jacket, or with a striped tee.

If you don’t frequently shop Cabi, I’ve linked some other army green pants below. But, if you’re hosting or attending a party soon, I highly recommend trying these pants. Not only are they versatile, but they are extremely comfortable. FYI, I sized down from my usual size.

So I’ll be waiting for the warm weather to stick around on a more permanent basis, I’ll have to settle for outfit combos that will keep me warm.

How would you style these army green pants?
