Hi all! I’m back after a week of vacation. I’ve forgotten what wonders a vacation can do for you. It was so good to relax and take a break from the real world or adult things. If I’m being completely honest, I’ve felt overwhelmed trying to balance work, the blog, and tough life things, so vacation came at a really good time.
If you’re like me, sometimes it’s really hard to open up to people about how you’re feeling. More often than not, we feel that we have to keep everything together for everyone else around us. But on the inside, we just want to scream, “Hey, I need a moment to breathe!” We know it’s okay to not be okay, but why is it so hard to express it? It’s hard to put into words how I’ve felt as of late, but that comes pretty close to describing it.
Wearing: Tuckernuck off the shoulder top (sold out, similar here and another option) | J.Crew shorts | Tory Burch Miller sandals (my favorites) | Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag | Ray-Ban aviators | BaubleBar necklace
While I didn’t expect this post to get so deep, I do use this space as a place to be open and honest. After a week off, I’m feeling better about
tackling conquering everything that’s coming my way. If there’s one thing to take away from my ramble, I think it’s that we have to step back sometimes and take a break. Reset and recharge.
Aka, don’t let those vacation days go to waste!
Okay, now for the outfit…
I was super excited to share this outfit, only to find out that this off the shoulder top is sold out. Luckily, this is an outfit that you can easily draw inspiration from and recreate. For off the shoulder tops, I like this fun long sleeved style, or this peek a boo shoulder top. However, this top is super similar to the one I’m wearing, and under $20! I also noticed earlier this summer that J.Crew chino shorts are hard to come by, but they are carrying a stretch chino pair this year. Chino shorts are a summer staple for me. I wear these constantly.
