Summer Stripes and Florals

Floral pants are especially trendy this year. And even better, flowy floral pants are in this year. Yay for comfort and style! Unfortunately these pants are from last year, but I linked several floral pant options in the post.

Wearing: Ann Taylor blazer | Striped tank (this year’s colors) | J.Crew pants (last year, other floral pant options below) | Target wedges | Kate Spade purse (similar here)
I have to admit, this outfit was pulled together at the last minute when I was heading out for a photo shoot. But, it works because I sticked to two important rules of pattern mixing. I matched similar colors (black from the top and black in the floral pants). Also, it’s best to stick to two different sizes, e.g., skinny stripes and bigger flowers. Two large prints can become overwhelming to the eye.

Thank you, Syd! I'm surprised, for as "dressy" as they are, they are definitely pretty comfortable.
