Plaid Flannel Shirtdress with Lace-Up Detailing

Plaid Flannel Dress

I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was pretty low key but fun at the same time. I got to visit my sister at her school. She’s only an hour away, and with it being her senior year, it’s fun to go visit her. Of course, any time I’m back on a college campus, I get a little sentimental. And then I remember how nice it is that I don’t have exams to study for or papers to write. Phew.

Today’s outfit features a few of my fall favorites: a plaid shirtdress, my favorite ankle boots, and my cognac leather crossbody bag. This has been the outfit I reach for when I feel like I have nothing else to wear. I think everyone should have one of those outfits per season. It makes getting dressed that much easier!

I actually scored this dress for $20 last year during an end of season sale, so I’m really excited that I’ve been able to wear this dress more already this fall. I love wearing it as an alternative to jeans, as it’s a pretty casual dress, but definitely still works for night too. And because it’s flannel, it’s warm enough to wear outside in the chilly weather.

This dress also features one of last year’s biggest trends, the lace up trend. Luckily, it’s still in style this year! This was another trend that I wasn’t sure that I loved at first, but now I’m completely sold. I actually just got this lace-up sweatshirt dress last week. It combines trendy with comfort. Not kidding, it’s so soft.

Okay, back to this dress…

Unfortunately, because I got this last year, I haven’t been able to find the exact dress, but I did find it in a different color that is just as cute, and under $40! If I was looking for another plaid shirtdress, I’d buy this one. However, I think this lace-up plaid shirt dress is similar in terms of style and colors, it’s just not a long sleeve dress.
