Must-Have Work Pants

I find that my biggest dilemma when it comes to
professional wear is finding items that fit my style. For example, I hate flare
pants. You’ll always find me in skinny jeans (still working my way up to
boyfriend jeans). Even though I’m short, I have long legs, and skinny pants
just seem to be the most flattering on me.

Therefore, when it comes to work pants, the same
rule applies. When I find a pair that I love, it’s like the skies open up and
the angels sing. Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but it’s pretty darn
close.

I hit the jackpot at J.Crew in February. I finally
got a pair of Pixie pants, which look like pants but feel
like leggings (think stretchy and soft). I also tried the new Martie pant, which the employee told me was
replacing the Minnie pant. Think skinny and slightly cropped at the ankle. I
bought a second pair on my trip to Georgetown.

I’m in love with both styles, and I love that they
can be dressed up or down. Find more J.Crew styles below.

Lesson: don’t settle when it comes to professional
wear. Find styles that you really love, and stock up in multiple pairs and
colors when necessary.

Oh, and this Topshop bag would be the perfect addition
to any interview, networking event, or a day at the office.
