Cannot believe that Thanksgiving is this week! Next to Christmas, it’s my favorite holiday. For one, mashed potatoes are my favorite food. A day that basically requires that mashed potatoes be a part of the meal? How could I not be excited? I also love that it’s the “kickoff” to the holiday season. It’s really the anticipation and buildup of what’s to come that gets me most excited this time of year.
If your Thanksgiving plans are more casual, a sweater and a pair of jeans would make for a comfortable but cute outfit. Although I wouldn’t blame you if you went right for the leggings. They tend to be more post-feast friendly than jeans. Nonetheless, I don’t think that Thanksgiving should have to be a holiday that requires a lot of thinking when it comes to what to wear. This is a Thanksgiving outfit you can totally recreate with items in your closet.
Honestly, I expected that this sweater would sell out as soon as I took these photos, and for good reason. It’s a great sweater. It’s soft because it’s made of that really stretchy yarn, and it’s striped. It’s no secret that I love stripes, and I feel that if you’re a style blogger, it’s basically a requirement that you wear stripes.
I’ll definitely update this post and notify on Twitter if it does come back in stock, as I truly think it’s a sweater everyone should have.
In the meantime, I’ve linked up some other striped sweaters that are great alternatives. I did include some pricier options because I believe a quality sweater is something you can have in your closet for years.
I’d love to know if you’re as stripe-obsessed as I am, and what you’re planning to wear for Thanksgiving!
