Lululemon Workout Gear + Fitness Update

I’m a firm believer that fashion can make you feel good in any aspect of your life, especially when it comes to fitness. I always look for clothing that I can move and breathe in. At the same time, I also like workout clothing that I can wear outside of the gym or barre studio. An outfit that looks just as good for yoga as it does for brunch? Who wouldn’t get on board with that?

I picked up this outfit at the Lululemon showroom where I live. When I found out we were getting a Lululemon, I couldn’t have been more excited! It’s actually only a couple blocks away from where I work, and surprisingly, I’ve managed to avoid lunch break shopping trips.

What I Wear to Work Out

More often than not, I like to wear capris or leggings when I work out. Occasionally I’ll wear shorts if I’m doing cardio and weights at the gym. For barre or yoga especially, I’d recommend a longer pant with all of the moves and stretching. My favorite brands to shop include Lululemon and Athleta, and I also love to shop at Target for more affordable options. Target’s brand Champion makes great sports bras.

As for sneakers, I really love these Nike Juvenate sneakers. I got them as a comfortable sneaker for football games and casual wear, but they’re great for working out too. This gray pair is next on my wish list. I think I’m turning into a sneakerhead!

A Fitness Update

If you read my last fitness post, you know that I’ve been loving barre classes. They’re the best way for me to tone muscles throughout my entire body. And I always leave feeling like I worked really hard. I typically take one to two classes per week.

Getting to the gym regularly is always a challenge for me; however, I recently tried a new class called Body Pump. It was hard. In the class, you lift weights to music. And this may or may not come as a shock to you, but I’m not typically doing dead lifts at the gym on my own. I want to take the class again, as I think it will be a great way to supplement the workouts I do.

I will say, my relationship with fitness is always a struggle, and by no means am I a gym rat. I’ll always be a work in progress, but it’s fun trying new classes and workouts to figure out what works for me.

    Love Lulu! Target also has some really great leggings too and I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap they are!

      I have purchased leggings from Target before, but definitely prefer spending a little more for pants I know will last for a while. Lululemon is worth it to me. Thanks for stopping by, Elizabeth!

    I started doing barre about two months ago and I absolutely love it! It tones all the right muscles and I always walk away feeling like it was a solid hour well-spent. Gym memberships are too pricey here to do barre AND belong to a gym, so I’m still trying to find a way to complement the barre classes. LOVE those grey leggings!
