A cold blog shoot day meant that after four other outfits in the winter elements, Yenma and I had to find some place warm for the final look…and get a hot beverage. We came across the Cocoa Beanery, kind of hidden from everything else, but so a “hidden gem” is definitely the perfect phrase to describe it.
Normally I’m a coffee or chai latte kind of girl, but on this particular day, something about a hot chocolate just sounded really good. Definitely what I needed to warm me up. I also got a giant chocolate chip cookie to reward myself for all my “hard work” in front of the camera that day. We took a break in one of their rooms that was decorated for the holidays. Such a cute setting for a private event.
I love discovering new restaurants and coffee places. I’ll be heading back to Cocoa Beanery to try their chai latte and avocado toast. Yes, I know that makes me so basic.
As for the outfit, well, I really can’t recommend this L.L.Bean coat enough for cold days. Yes, I realize the irony in talking about a winter coat when the temps have been relatively warm for this time of year. I featured this coat in my game day style post and sang its praises then, too. This is the three quarter length version, which hits just above my knees. It’s still easy to walk in, which might be an issue if I had gotten the longer version. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re still in need of a winter coat. The price is pretty reasonable for a quality coat. For other coat options, this one is marked down to just $80 on Nordstrom, and here’s another option that’s marked down as well.
