I hope everyone had a great July 4th weekend! I think one of the best parts was waking up on Saturday morning and realizing that it was only Saturday. Gotta love long holiday weekends. Sadly, Monday has arrived. If you’re heading to work today, I feel your pain.
Even though I am bummed that this weekend came to an end, I must say it was a fantastic weekend. On July 4th I headed to First Friday in Lancaster city with my parents. First Friday is when the art galleries and shops stay open later on the first Friday of each month. Additionally, it’s nice to enjoy a few drinks at a couple of bars (yay for being 21). It was such a gorgeous evening, and the perfect temperature. I even managed to wear a sweater! It’s crazy how weird summer weather can be. If you’re ever in Lancaster, check out First Friday. The city has great food, culture, and history.
Saturday and Sunday I hung out with my neighbors and friends all day having fun in the pool, enjoying fireworks, eating delicious food, and spending time in great company. Can I just say that my neighborhood was the best place to grow up. I’m so lucky that I could spend July 4th weekend with great people. Again, I am sad that the weekend is over, but I guess it’s time to get back to reality.
