Hopefully you’re lucky enough to be enjoying a day off and reading today’s post on the couch with a cup of coffee! I know I’m grateful for an extra long weekend. I finally got some things for my apartment, attended a beautiful bridal shower, and ultimately just relaxed. And, it doesn’t help when the weather decides to jump up to 70 degrees in February. It’s amazing what warm weather can do for those winter blues.
Let’s talk about this sweater. Totally not something I would normally pick for myself. I wouldn’t exactly say orange is my color, especially against this pale skin. (I’m in desperate need of some vitamin D.) So when Julie Brown Designs sent me this color, I was surprised, but nonetheless ready to step out of my fashion comfort zone.
Wearing: Julie Brown Designs sweater (available in several colors) c/o | Madewell shirt | LOFT jeans | Michael Kors wedges | Street Level reversible tote | Ray-Ban aviators | David Yurman cable bracelet (4 mm style) | David Yurman ring
I kept the rest of the outfit neutral with tan accessories so that the sweater was the center of the outfit. I was so excited to break out these wedges again. The perfect color for any outfit.
I ultimately really love this pop of color for this time of year. Maybe orange is a color I need to try more…when I have a tan. And, the weight of the sweater makes it warm enough to wear now. We also tried to capture the intricate detailing of the sweater in these photos. Super flattering for any body type. For reference, this sweater comes in two sizes, and I’m wearing the small.
What do you think of this pop of color? Is orange a part of your wardrobe? I’d love to hear your thoughts! And, I’ll be sharing one more bright colored look from Julie Brown Designs later this week. You’re definitely going to want to stop by if you have any warm weather trips coming up!
