I feel like I always complain about the weather, but just give me a minute. First, we had several days of rain, and then yesterday when these photos were taken, it was windy and 50-something degrees. No way is it almost June.
So, on those days when the weather isn’t cooperating with this time of year, the best way to dress is with summer-like layers. This J.Crew Factory striped hoodie (on sale!) was perfect for the chilly May day. I also opted for a lighter wash jean and white sneakers. I still felt seasonably appropriate while acknowledging the fact that it was not a denim shorts and sandals kind of day. Sigh.
If you don’t have these already, I highly recommend adding a pair of Converse Shoreline sneakers to your wardrobe. The best part, you don’t have to tie them? Great sneaker for summer!
I sized up one size in this hoodie for a looser fit. I typically prefer my hoodies to be a little roomier. These will be great for summer. I’m already dreaming of wearing this J.Crew Factory hoodie during even walks on the beach! FYI, it also comes in a pretty red color that I love as well, and it’s 50% off, so RUN!
I took these photos with my sister yesterday after having a delicious lunch at Tomato Pie Cafe, which I’ll share more specifics about in another post. I’ve found the best way to make the most of crappy weather is to visit a place you wouldn’t normally go to, so heading over to Lititz for a couple of hours was the perfect idea. I also had the chance to take a barre class on Saturday. Even though they kick my butt, they always put me in a better mood afterwards. It was a good reminder that I need to make it a regular part of my exercise routine again.
Here’s hoping you have a great week, and wherever you are, that the weather treats you right! Thanks as always for stopping by.
