How to Wear a Gingham Blazer + Other Gingham Favorites

Gingham has been everywhere this season, although I think it’s a timeless print just like stripes. And, it’s just as versatile. Nonetheless, I’ve been seeing it so much lately. This gingham blazer from J.Crew is so cute, and I love that it comes in both blue and pink. I decided to showcase the blazer and provide some outfit inspiration in today’s post by creating an easy outfit with items you probably already have in your closet. You can shop the items featured above or in the tool at the end of this post.

Tips for wearing a gingham blazer

The key to this outfit is to let the gingham blazer shine, while keeping everything else muted. A nude pair of open-toed heels is a must for any wardrobe. They look just as great with jeans as they do with dresses. The pair I linked is super affordable. These Asos heels are another great inexpensive option.

For summer (or now depending if you wear white before Memorial Day), a white pair of jeans would go perfectly with this outfit. However, dark wash denim would look just as great if you’re like me and can’t wear white bottoms before Memorial Day. Am I the only fashion blogger who can’t break that rule?

Finally, a simple white tee is all you need for this outfit. I buy at least one of these Banana Republic tees every year. For a boyfriend fit, Madewell is my go-to for tees.

To round out the post, I included some other gingham pieces that I am absolutely loving, like this dress from Aqua. And the price isn’t terrible either! This J.Crew Factory bikini is also super cute if you’re looking for an affordable bathing suit.

I’d love to hear what you think of the gingham trend, and what gingham pieces you have in your closet.
