Georgetown Recap

Today we are recapping my trip to Georgetown/D.C. My mom and I spent a few days there for part of my spring break. We ate A LOT, shopped, and did lots of sight seeing. The 60 degree weather and sun were definitely added bonuses!

Isn’t my mom cute?
Shopping: M Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown

Eats: Martin’s Tavern for delicious brunch and bloody marys | Georgetown Cupcakes | Baked & Wired for more cupcakes and coffee | Clyde’s for dinner, especially the steak salad | Bandolero for Spanish tapas | Good Stuff Eatery for a delicious burger | Filomenta Ristorante for Italian

White House selfie!

Explore/Visit: Newseum (must visit) | National Mall | Georgetown neighborhoods | Kennedy Center for a show

This trip was so much fun! We couldn’t decide which part was our favorite. I’ve been up to D.C. a couple times before, but on this trip we got to see and do things I hadn’t done before. If you have any plans to go, I would definitely recommend staying in Georgetown and visiting the Newseum, especially the 9/11 exhibit.

I’m looking forward to (hopefully) visiting D.C. again soon!

Ah! So stinkin fun! I had friends in college who graduated and moved to D.C. and it seems like they never run out of things to explore. I've also really wanted to go to Georgetown Cupcakes since.. forever. 😉 And I'm a huge Scandal fan so I really want to go to DC because I'm hoping to run into Olivia Pope/Kerry Washington haha.

    Glad you had a blast!

I go to GWU so I live here! In Georgetown you've got to check out The Peacock Cafe next time and check out Cafe Deluxe and The Daily Grill!
