Favorite Lancaster Coffee Spots

Passenger in Lancaster, Pa

Now that I work in downtown Lancaster, I get to spend more time at new-to-me places and old favorites. Even though the city is small compared to major cities, the number of delicious restaurants, bars, and coffee shops means there is no shortage of great options.

I look forward to sharing more posts like this as I continue to explore the place I’ve called home my entire life. For now, here are some of my favorite must visit Lancaster coffee spots. I think I had to share this because I’ve had coffee on the brain lately. Anyone else feel like they need four cups of coffee to get through the day?

  • Passenger at the Prince Street pop up park. I just tried this place the other week (as evidenced in this Instagram post), even though it is two blocks from my office. Their cold brew coffee is bottled, which I hadn’t heard of before. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was so good. Just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect for a summer day.
  • Cafe di Vetro. Perfect place for a midday chai latte pick me up. It’s also hard to resist their strawberry goat cheese salad or tomato and mozzarella panini, but that’s a post for another day. And if I keep talking about it, I’ll get hungry, and it’s after 10:00 p.m. as I’m writing this.
  • Prince Street Cafe. Another great option for a chai latte. The vanilla ones are my favorite, and their to go cups have a Lancaster city map printed on them.
  • Rachel’s Cafe & Creperie. If you want Nutella in a drink, this is the place. (Oh, and the crepes aren’t that bad either.) The Nutella mocha is a favorite, especially in fall or winter. It’s also another great place for iced coffee.

If there are any Lancaster coffee shops that I missed, or any great places I should visit near you, I’d love to know!

Some of my other favorite coffee places downtown are Chestnut Hill and Cafe One Eight….clearly I spend too much time finding the perfect latte.

I still have yet to try Cafe One Eight, although I have been frequenting there for lunch as of late. And I’ve never been to Chestnut Hill. Does this make me a bad Lancasterian? Let’s get together soon!

Is that a portable coffee shop?
I like the truck design, it seems like a steampunk truck 🙂
