The Apps I Can’t Live Without

I’ll fully admit that I probably spend more time on my phone than I should. I feel like in this day and age, we’re all a little guilty of that. If that isn’t your case, then good for you! Nonetheless, my phone is a life savior and a boredom buster. And of course, it keeps me connected to the people I love.

Favorite iPhone Apps

I don’t know why, but I’m always curious to see what other people use on their phones, so I thought it’d be fun to share some of my must-have and most used iPhone apps.

Spotify

How could you not be obsessed with it? I started with a free trial of premium and remained hooked. If I’m being honest, I tried switching to the free version to save a little bit of money, and I think that lasted all of six days. I love Spotify Premium because I play whatever I want, whenever I want, as many times as I want. Fun fact: when I find a new song I love, I tend to listen to it over and over.

I think the best part of Spotify is that it makes it so easy to discover new music. If you use Pandora and have thought about switching to Spotify, I highly recommend doing so!

Reminders

While this is an app that already comes loaded on the iPhone, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t my most used app. I keep everything on here, from packing lists to reminders to pay my credit card bills. #adulting

Even though I love and use my Lilly Pulitzer agenda for planning and scheduling, I use Reminders for the things I absolutely cannot forget. And I still get to “check” things off the list. What a great feeling.

Netflix/Amazon Prime

We are counting these as one app because they are virtually the same, but I love Netflix and Amazon Prime. My favorite Netflix Series include Orange is the New Black, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Grace and Frankie. And of course, I’m always down to rewatch old favorites like Gilmore Girls, One Tree Hill, and Grey’s Anatomy. I also just watched The People vs. O.J. Simpson. SO good!

I started Suits a while ago but never finished it, so I love that I can watch it on Amazon Prime until I’m all caught up. I’d love to hear what other Amazon Prime shows you watch!

Starbucks

Sadly, I haven’t used this since Lent started (I gave up buying coffee beverages), but it’s definitely an app I have open often. I love not needing my wallet. On the other hand, it’s also dangerous how easy it is to refill your card when you’re running low.

Did you know that you can also combine Starbucks gift cards into one when you have the app? If you’re a coffee drinker who gets a lot of Starbucks gift cards, this is a great feature.

VSCO

I edit almost all of my Instagram photos with VSCO. It’s nice to be able to see and compare all of your photos in one shot, especially if you are very particular about photo editing. I typically use the C3 filter, but I turn it way down. I’ll also adjust the brightness and contrast a little bit, and again in Instagram if needed.

Tip: always keep the photo the actual size if you’re saving it from VSCO to your camera roll. The image quality will be 10x better when you upload it to Instagram.

Are there any apps that you are obsessed with? Any that I should try? I’d love to hear! Leave a comment below telling me what apps you can’t live without.
