And just like that, Christmas is over. I am so bummed as its one of my favorite times of year. I hope you all had a great holiday with the ones who mean the most to you! This year was unusual in that it was really warm, so unfortunately this J.Crew Factory coat was not required. I’ve only had to wear this a couple of times this year…which is such a bummer! I’ll probably reread this post in a couple of months and wonder why I would ever say such a thing. But for now, I’m sort of missing the cold weather!
I purchased this coat a couple of months ago after eyeing the J.Crew retail version. I think this is a great dupe for a fraction of the price. If you’re still on the hunt for a nice coat, I definitely recommend this Factory coat.
In my opinion, a nice winter coat is an absolute necessity if you experience months of cold weather. In most instances it covers your outfit, so it’s important to have a coat that can serve as a statement piece. I originally bought the gray in a larger size but exchanged it for a smaller size and in the navy color. Navy is classic, so I know I’ll love this coat for several seasons. And let’s face it, navy goes with practically everything.
For sizing, I’m wearing a two. The four was too big in the body and created a bell shape, rather than being slim all the way through. I sized down for the fit I was expecting. I find that I still have plenty of room to wear layers underneath.
I’ll be back this week with more posts to share, but I wanted to wish you all a wonderful 2016. I can’t believe I’m typing that. 2015 brought a lot of change for me, between graduation and adjusting to life as an adult. Thank you all for making this blog a little part of your life! It means more to me than you’ll ever know. Here’s hoping 2016 is everything you want it to be!
