Bethany Beach Photo Diary

For a girl who loves the beach, having to wait until almost the end of August to finally get my feet in the sand was torture. I swear I could live at the beach. I’m hoping to one day I can own a beach house. A girl can dream, right?

I loved getting to spend a weekend in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The weather was unbelievably gorgeous. It was great to just relax for a couple of days and spend time with my family. Even though summer is all about relaxing, I often feel like we end up trying to do too much, and it never seems like you really get a break.

This was just the weekend I needed to rejuvenate, say goodbye to summer, and get ready for fall. Did I really just say that?

These drinks and this tomato crab soup are from the new hotel that opened up at Bethany Beach, Bethany Beach Ocean Suites by Marriott. It only opened up a few weeks ago! It was such a beautiful hotel, but it still fit in with the rest of the town. If you’ve ever been to Bethany Beach, you probably know what I’m talking about. Definitely want to go back to stay for a visit!September issues by the ocean

September issues by the beach. It doesn’t get much better!Blue Coast Restaurant, Bethany Beach, Delaware We went to bluecoast on Saturday night for seafood. Boy, was it good. This lobster cavatapi definitely ranks near the top of best dishes I’ve ever had. If you’re at the Delaware beaches (or Ocean City, Maryland), this restaurant is definitely worth the drive! Their calamari was also awesome. Bethany Beach, Delaware

Sunday we got up and headed to Rehobeth Beach for breakfast at one of our favorite spots. We also enjoyed a couple of hours of sun and ocean at Cape Henlopen before heading home.

Bethany Beach is a great option if you’re looking for a fun, low key beach town. It’s also great because there are lots of other beach towns within reasonable driving distance if you’re looking to mix it up. I hadn’t been there for a few years, but I’m lucky to live close enough that a weekend at the beach is just enough (but I totally would’ve stayed longer).

I’d love to know where you’ve been this summer! If you’d like to find out where else I’ve been this summer, check out one of my other recent travel posts.
