Happy Friday! After back to back weekends of traveling (which I loved), it feels good to know that I’m staying put this weekend. And, it finally looks like fall is sticking around, so I can break out my sweaters and vests for good!

Other than travel, things have been pretty busy and hectic…in a good way! I’ve also gotten into more of a routine with my week night trips to the gym. It’s so hard to not just go home, but even if I only get 45 minutes in, I’m proud of myself! Even a little bit makes a difference.

Weekend Trip: National Harbor, Alexandria, Georgetown

National Harbor Ferris Wheel

My family and I actually had a different trip planned this past weekend, but due to some changes, things didn’t work out like we had hoped. We were still determined to do something fun, and DC became Plan B. We stayed in National Harbor and went to Alexandria and Georgetown while we were there. DC is only about 2.5 hours away (give or take I-95 traffic), so it’s easy to do a short trip like this for us. We also really lucked out with the weather. Normally, I’d wish that it had been cooler, but it was nice to be outside and not worry about the weather.
