What I’m Into Volume 26

Hope everyone was safe in the snow! I know many of us up in the Northeast were either disappointed or happy about the snow (or in some places, the lack of snow).

My mom and I are heading to Georgetown for a few days over my spring break in March. I’m lucky because D.C. is only a couple of hours away from where I live, but I don’t go there enough. I’d love to hear any recommendations for dining, shopping, sight seeing, whatever! Thanks!

On another note, please tell me some of you watched #TGIT last night! Shonda Rhimes makes amazing shows. Have a great weekend!

Let’s talk Gossip Girl. (If you haven’t watched this show yet, stop what you’re doing and go to Netflix right now.) A show that definitely makes me wish I was an Upper East Sider. When I took the Gossip Girl bus tour in NYC, I was dreaming of living in Nate’s gorgeous house, eating yogurt on the Met steps, and visiting Laduree for an after school macaron.

What I’m Into Volume 25

It’s Friday! Don’t you just love a short week?

I wanted to share a quote that I found recently from Marc Jacobs that has really resonated with me: “Let’s do what we love and do a lot of it.” As I’m trying to figure out what’s next after college, I want to make sure that whatever it is, it’s something that I’m passionate about. I don’t want to settle. Life’s too short to not be happy.

What you missed this week on A Pop of Pink…

  • This look is perfect for a walk in the mountains or lounging in the ski lodge. I basically wear my Bean boots almost every day.
  • One of my favorite trends!

Trend: Slip-On Sneaks

I’ll be the first to say that I am not a sneakers gal. I don’t get the “wear running sneakers with skinny jeans and a sweater thing” or whatever you want to call it. It’s just not my style. But a slip on sneaker…now that I can get on board with.

I ordered these Gap slip-on sneakers in black last week. As soon as I tried them on, I got more excited for spring to come. I LOVE them. FYI, I typically wear a size 7, and these fit like a glove.

Slip-on sneakers definitely say, “I’m cool without really trying.”
