Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was so much fun celebrating my sister and her graduation. It’s always nice to spend time with people who mean the most to me. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to especially cherish the time I spend with friends and family. It was really a perfect summer weekend.

Below are some photos from the party. Sadly I did not get a picture of the delicious food my mom made, but it was sooooo good!

The graduate. You can see this photo on my Instagram!
Party decorations!

This week on A Pop of Pink I’ll have some outfit posts, including one that is perfect for a casual July 4th look. My weekend will be full of a lot of fun! Now if only this four day week would go by quickly…

What I’m Into Volume 3

Wearing: Banana Republic chambray shirt; Stella & Dot necklace
It was one of those weeks where a lot of iced coffee was needed.
My weekend will be busy but fun! Two of my friends from college are coming to visit for the weekend. One of them didn’t get to celebrate my birthday with me, so she wanted to come out for a visit. My sister’s graduation party is on Saturday too! It will be fun to see people I don’t see often and celebrate her and her accomplishments. And my mom got red velvet cupcakes from Sublime Cupcakes, which are beyond delicious. Anyone from around southeastern PA may know what I’m talking about.

Here’s what I’m into this week:

  • Lauren Conrad always shares healthy recipes on her blog. Might have to try these “Summer Slim-Down Shakes.”
  • Fashion blogger Grace Atwood of Stripes and Sequins created a fabulous collection for Bauble Bar. As I’m writing this, I’m contemplating buying this necklace. Update: I went to buy the necklace, it was sold out.
  • I make a quinoa recipe similar to this, except without olives or red onions, and take it to work for lunch. Quinoa is great because it’s healthy but leaves you feeling full.
  • Must resist buying this Vineyard Vines dress.
  • This post on “The College Prepster” is so true.
  • This Orson Welles quote via t + j designs.

Lobstah Roll

Wearing: Lilly Pulitzer scarf (in Lobstah Roll) | Lilly Pulitzer shorts | Target tank | American Eagle belt (old) | Tory Burch sandals | Stella & Dot earrings | Lilly Pulitzer Tumbler
I received my scarf and shorts from Lilly Pulitzer on the first day of summer, aka National Wear Your Lilly Day! How appropriate! I’ve been wanting this scarf for a couple of months now, and I finally caved. It’s adorable! What I love about Lilly is that the clothes are fun and bright and can make anyone feel good. That’s what this scarf does for me. Lobstah Roll is definitely one of my new favorite prints!

P.S.- Thanks to my mom and boyfriend who having been taking outfit photos for me! You two are the best!
